Residents and commuters in central Bucks County should be aware of an important public transportation change that may affect daily routines, housing decisions, and accessibility in 2026.

What’s Changing With the Doylestown DART?

Under the newly released 2026 transit schedule, Bucks County Transport has eliminated Saturday service on the Doylestown DART bus system. Moving forward, the low-cost transit program will operate weekdays only, Monday through Friday.

Saturday routes previously available through the system will no longer run, and there is no DART service on holidays.

Overview of the Doylestown DART System

Despite the weekend change, weekday service will continue across all three DART routes:

  • Doylestown DART

  • DART South

  • DART West

These routes serve key areas including Doylestown, Warrington, Chalfont, and New Britain, with connections to:

  • Shopping centers

  • Delaware Valley University

  • Regional transit hubs

The system remains an affordable transportation option at $1 per ride, and rides continue to be free for residents age 65 and older.
