Bucks County residents will have an important opportunity to safely dispose of household hazardous materials at an upcoming waste collection event hosted by the county government. The Household Hazardous Waste Collection is scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Bucks County Technical School, located at 610 Wistar Road in Fairless Hills, PA.

This event offers homeowners a chance to get rid of common hazardous items such as old paint, pesticides, automotive fluids, solvents, and household cleaners—materials that should never be thrown in the regular trash or poured down the drain due to environmental and safety risks.

It’s important to note that electronics and appliances will not be accepted at this event. The collection is completely free for county residents and no registration is required. Simply show up during the designated hours with your hazardous materials properly contained.

For those who can’t make the August event, a second collection is scheduled for October 25 in Quakertown, giving homeowners another opportunity to safely declutter and protect the environment.

Additional details, including accepted materials, safety guidelines, and a downloadable flyer, can be found on the official Bucks County Planning Commission website.
