On June 18, 2025, the Pennridge School Board officially approved a $163.2 million budget for the 2025–2026 school year, which includes a 3.65% increase in real estate property taxes.

As part of the new budget, the real estate millage rate will rise from 135.2555 mills to 140.1892 mills. This means homeowners in the district can expect to pay more in property taxes, depending on the assessed value of their homes.

For example:

  • If your home is assessed at $300,000, the previous tax would have been approximately $4,057.

  • With the new rate, it would increase to about $4,205—an increase of nearly $150 annually.

Additional Tax Details

While the real estate tax rate is going up, other local taxes will remain unchanged:

  • Earned Income Tax: stays at 1%

  • Real Estate Transfer Tax: remains at 0.5%

  • Local Services Tax: unchanged at $5

The district anticipates generating approximately $87.4 million in net revenue from real estate taxes alone. Additional expected funding includes $41 million from the state and just over $2 million from federal sources.
